NORTH CAROLINA CHAPTER, AMERICAN TRAUMA SOCIETY ABOUT THE AMERICAN TRAUMA SOCIETY The American Trauma Society (ATS) was founded in 1968 and is the leading national organization dedicated to both reducing preventable injuries and improving trauma care. It promotes trauma prevention and the establishment of trauma systems as the principal ways to reduce the toll of trauma. The North Carolina Division of the American Trauma Society was first chartered in 1989. It now maintains its own web site at www.ncats.org. Links |
